We manufacture cold storage and clean room panels in aluminium, colour bond, and stainless steel. Clients often arrive having chosen on price, which is reasonable, and then discover that the choice was really about how the room gets washed down.
How the decision usually falls
Colour bond is the sensible default for dry storage and general temperature-controlled warehousing: durable, economical, and easy to replace panel by panel if a forklift finds one.
Aluminium earns its place where weight matters — transportable buildings, mezzanine installations, and partitioning where the structure was never designed to carry a heavier skin.
Stainless steel is the answer when the room will be cleaned aggressively and often. Pharmaceutical clean rooms and wet food processing areas are its natural home, and the premium is usually recovered in the panels you do not have to replace.
- Ask what the cleaning agents are, and how often they are used
- Ask whether the room is washed down or wiped down — they are different specifications
- Ask what the doors will take, because doors fail long before panels do
Specify for the cleaning regime. The temperature is the easy part.
